Apologia Expands into Practical and Inspiration Books
8/13/08
Davis Carman

Apologia is best known for its creation-based science curriculum written for homeschool students from a biblical worldview. Because of our desire to increase our service to the homeschooling community, we are now making plans to expand into the publication of practical and inspirational books and resources.

Zan Tyler has joined the Apologia team as acquisitions editor to help in this new venture. She is a veteran homeschool mom of 21 years who was instrumental in making homeschooling legal in South Carolina. She has three grown children who are all homeschool graduates. Her editorial background includes years at Crosswalk.com, Christianity.com, Lifeway.com, and B&H Publishing Group. She is the author of Seven Tools for Cultivating your Child’s Potential which will soon be offered by Apologia.

Davis Carman, the new president and owner of Apologia, is pleased to announce the recent signing of several trusted and well-known homeschool authors to write books in this new category. These include:
• Deb Bell with a 10th anniversary edition of the Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling
• Deb Bell with the brand new Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling Teens
(Including Everything You Need to Know About College Admissions and Scholarships).
• Sally and Clay Clarkson with their classic Educating the Wholehearted Child
• Sally Clarkson with Seasons of a Mother’s Heart
• Sarah Clarkson with Reading for the Heart
• Diana Waring with Beyond Survival and Reaping the Harvest

Other books in this category already offered by Apologia include Reasonable Faith by Dr. Jay Wile and Come into His Garden by Kathleen Wile.

Finally, Apologia will add SoundBites from Heaven to our list of book offerings. Author Rachael Carman is Davis’s wife and the mother of seven homeschooled children. SoundBites from Heaven is also a resource of Focus on the Family.
