Curriculum Overview

In Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 3 students will grow more proficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and learn more about data collection and graphing, begin fractions and jump deeper into geometry. Through activities, projects, and games that guide your student’s comprehension of using numbers in everyday life, this curriculum also encourages your child to ponder creation on a new level.

Utilizing a mastery approach, the Exploring Creation with Mathematics Series helps your student advance strategically through lessons, projects, and reviews, enabling them to apply the math they have learned to their lives. The author moves through the material following a specific progression and 4-step approach. This series fosters an appreciation for math and will have your child looking forward to doing math every day.

In this course your student will find:

  • Seeing Our Creator devotionals connect math concepts your child learns to God and His creation
  • A suggested daily schedule, with thoughtful, systematic  pacing through concepts
  • Skills practice, with exciting, easy-to-set-up games, ensuring your child is prepared for new levels
  • Hands-on activities, games, and projects using the provided activity sheets and household products aid your child in making tangible connections to the abstract concepts learned
  • Colorful, age-appropriate lesson layouts and page design make learning more inviting for your student
  • Options and suggestions for customizing a lesson to meet your child’s needs
  • Supply lists, answers to the problems, teaching tips, and suggestions for taking an activity further

Less is more

My daughter is enjoying the lessons and I really love how simplified & concise they are. The short games, use of manipulatives & repetition are really solidifying math concepts for her in a way that keeps away any boredom.

We completed this level last school year. My son and I enjoyed it extremely. He did so well with this program, and it was exactly what he needed.

Beautiful Books

Up front- we have not started the books we have ordered yet. I have gone through them and just wanted to say that the design, pictures, pages, layouts, are some of the most eye pleasing photos and best quality we have received durring our homeschool years. I also want to add the fast shipping, and the amount of information in the books to help the teacher is great. We bought the math 3 and new Zoology 1, and for the 1st time ever, my daughter is excited and eager to start when she saw the books!

Doable, hands-on math

We have been using Apologia math since level 1 came out. Although it may be a bit more parentally -involved than other curriculums, we absolutely love it. It has brief hands-on activities and games with just enough practice to not feel redundant. Almost all the materials are common household items which I greatly appreciate. There are few materials that you need to buy. If is requested that you buy something, it's used in multiple levels of the curriculum. My son absolutely loves this math. The author does an incredible job of connecting the math skills with real life. Each unit ends with a project that focuses on a real world situation. The only suggestion I would add is that, for us, we have added Math Reflexes by Time4Learning just to help with speed with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This is not necessary as the book gives plenty of suggestions and resources to practice calculation skills. It's just what's worked best for us. We can't wait to start level 4!
