  • Engages students in the scientific process.
  • Improves writing skills and penmanship.
  • Gives your student a place where they can record and organize experiences and observations.

What’s the Difference Between the Regular Notebooking Journal and Junior Notebooking Journal?

The Regular Notebooking Journal for Exploring Creation with Zoology 2 is recommended for students in grades 4-6, or those who have mastered handwriting, can take notes, and enjoy upper elementary-level activities. The Regular Notebooking Journals include lengthy and technical vocabulary crosswords, What Do You Remember? written review questions, and a final review section. These features are not included in the Junior Notebooking Journals.

The  Zoology 2 Junior Notebooking Journal is designed for younger students who are still developing basic writing skills and is recommended for grades K-3. The journal has easier crossword puzzles and activities, coloring pages, and primary writing lines.

The Regular Notebooking Journal and Junior Notebooking Journal are designed to work together to help accommodate teaching multiple ages in your homeschool.

Points to our Creator

Favorite part is it points to God, our Creator. The journals are an awesome way for our kids to process and show what they are learning and in their own way! It was exciting to learn so many new things.

Future marine biologist

My marine biologist in-the-making begged to do science first today. He’s currently creating a shark to put inside his ocean box of all the models he has made so far this year. I absolutely LOVE how much Elijah loves science. School can be a struggle with him sometimes, but the Apologia curriculum is the one subject he never puts up a fight about. The beauty of homeschool is finding something your child is passionate about and tailoring your learning around it.
