  • Social Media Content Creator

    Contractor | Part-time | 20 – 30 hours per week | Remote

    Responsibilities

    • Social Media Content Creation
      • Work with the Marketing Director to develop a social media content and engagement strategy.
      • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns.
      • Become an expert in Apologia’s products, offerings, and brand voice.
      • Create various forms of social media content—text captions, videos, graphics, and photos—suitable for Apologia’s social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube
      • Be comfortable on camera to create social video content
      • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new content, new product releases, and sales.
      • Collaborate with the Conference Coordinator to promote upcoming conference events.
      • Ensure every piece of content created aligns with Apolgia’s brand voice
    • Community Engagement
      • Engage and contribute to Apologia’s Facebook group and social homeschool groups and provide answers and insight to establish Apologia as a thought leader.
      • Moderate Apologia’s Facebook group to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.
    • Monitoring
      • Monitor the company’s brand on social media and report on feedback and online reviews.
      • Monitor social content and analyze KPIs
      • Communicate social metrics and trends effectively to all stakeholders, including leadership, marketing, and customer service.

    Requirements

    • 2-3 years of previous experience as a social media manager or a similar role
    • Proven experience in creating engaging content on different social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube
    • Deep knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategy
    • Ability to work with creative tools like the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
    • Ability to turn a concept into compelling content
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience in creating engaging multimedia social content on different social platforms
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
