Meet Linda

Linda has found her role at Apologia to be very rewarding, and she enjoys helping customers, and even praying with them. “I love using my homeschool background and the vast number of resources that Apologia offers to help parents find that missing puzzle piece to a problem they are having.”

Linda is a veteran when it comes to homeschooling children. She spent 23 years teaching all 5 of her children, using an eclectic and blended teaching style that included aspects of unit study, Charlotte Mason, Classical, Living Books, and more. With her Bachelor of Arts in English Education and her Master’s in Library Sciences, it’s no surprise that she enjoyed teaching History and English to her children the most.

Meet Theresa

Theresa holds a bachelor’s degree from Walsh University in Business Administration. Along with her role at Apologia, she is diligently homeschooling 3 of her 4 daughters alongside all of you! She successfully saw her eldest through high school graduation in 2022. With a husband who holds a Ph.D. in Science (with a focus on cell biology), it’s no surprise that her favorite subject to teach her kids is science! Her husband joins in to help teach them about something he loves.

As every child and every family’s homeschooling needs are different, Theresa found that using a traditional school environment in her homeschool worked best for her children and allowed them to flourish. Since joining our team, Theresa has found that the best part of helping others with their homeschool journey is that she is also currently in it and understands that curriculum and styles can change from year to year, so it’s important to seek the Lord’s guidance for clear direction.

Meet Shellby

Shellby has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Physical Education and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She worked as a school-based Speech-Language pathologist for several years before joining our team. Like many of you, Shellby and her husband are fairly new to homeschooling. After praying about their decision to pull both of their sons from public school, Shellby and her husband took the leap about 2 years ago and have found success using both the Classical and Charlotte Mason methods in their homeschool. Due to her fitness background, she loves teaching health and fitness, but she is also a big fan of teaching history and taking educational trips to national parks with the family. For Shellby, the best part about helping others on their homeschooling journey is talking with like-minded homeschooling parents and helping them choose the best options for their kids to be successful.
