Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 5, is a hands-on, interactive homeschool math curriculum written to your student in a conversational tone. In level 5, students continue to learn more complex math functions with multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, geometry, measurement conversion, percentages, and graphing.

The Exploring Creation with Mathematics series utilizes a mastery approach with a built-in spiral review. In Level 5, students will learn multiplication by multi-digit numbers, the order of operations, division in the vertical form, multiplying fractions, dividing by fractions, decimals to the thousandth place, finding area and volume, percentages, and graphing.
The author’s approach to teaching math uses a 4-step progression approach.
- Concrete – Physical objects are used to present a math concept
- Pictorial – Illustrated pictures are shown so students can visualize the concept
- Abstract – Math symbols are used to display the concept as a written math problem
- Application – Through projects, students will connect the math concepts they’ve learned to real-life scenarios

Student Workbook
The student workbook is open-and-go and explains new concepts with example problems, hands-on activities, games, skills practice, and end-of-unit projects. This course is designed to be done 4 days a week for 36 weeks, and each lesson takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
To fully use this course, you will need some common household and math manipulative items. The Teaching Guide and Answer Key includes a complete list of supply items.
