Curriculum Overview

Right from the start, the tone in our math series, Exploring Creation with Mathematics, lets students know that they are going to study math as a tool to help them understand their unique place in the universe. Every unit begins with a “Seeing Our Creator” section that places the concepts coming up in their proper place – back with our Creator.

In this course your student will find:

  • Seeing Our Creator devotionals connect math concepts your child learns to God and His creation
  • A suggested daily schedule, with thoughtful, systematic  pacing through concepts
  • Skills practice, with exciting, easy-to-set-up games, ensuring your child is prepared for new levels
  • Hands-on activities, games, and projects using the provided activity sheets and household products aid your child in making tangible connections to the abstract concepts learned
  • Colorful, age-appropriate lesson layouts and page design make learning more inviting for your student
  • Options and suggestions for customizing a lesson to meet your child’s needs
  • Supply lists, answers to the problems, teaching tips, and suggestions for taking an activity further

Lesson Plans and Materials

This course is designed to be done 4 days a week for 28 weeks, and each lesson takes 30 to 45 minutes. A suggested daily schedule is included with this course so your student easily understands what is expected of them each day, while also providing flexibility to meet the needs of your student and family.

To be able to fully use this course, some common household and math manipulative items will be needed. Nothing fancy…things like dry beans for counting or a base ten block set for math manipulatives. A complete list of suggested items is included in the Teaching Guide & Answer Key.

So dar so good

So far Sasha really likes this curriculum. I love how simple, straight forward and hands on it is. However on lesson five there was a wrong answer on one of the flaps and the and that was frustrating when carrying out the activity.

One of My Favorite Finds

I stumbled on your new math a few weeks ago and have been using Math 4 with one of my other children. I've homeschooled for 20 years, and this has been one of my favorite finds. I've always loved the concrete-pictorial-abstract progression, but only found it in programs that were too cumbersome to teach to multiple children at different levels. Your new math seems to have the perfect balance of parent involvement and independent work, and the kids are actually understanding how the math works. I'm so impressed, and my kids are loving it, too!! Thank you for producing such a great product!

Easy to Use and Not Overwhelming

Love this math!!! As a high school math teacher I planned to just teach my children on my own when I decided to homeschool. I did want some sort of work book to work through and this program is designed exactly how I would have done it myself! We are beyond pleased!!! Easy to follow, not overwhelming, the extras and optional additions are fabulous, and it’s so fun and relatable.
