Damian Ludwiczak

Damian R. Ludwiczak earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics from Cleveland State University. Since 1987, he has worked as an aerospace engineer and has held numerous technical positions as an employee of NASA. Damian has also held technical management positions such as the deputy Chief Engineer for the Artemis spacecraft, Chief Engineer for the Space Launch Vehicle payload fairing system, as well as serving as Chief of the Mechanisms and Tribology Branch at NASA Glenn Research Center. He has received numerous NASA achievement awards including the Exceptional Achievement Medal and Outstanding Leadership Medal. Damian is the co-owner of a small technology company located near Cleveland Ohio and has also authored, co-authored, or served as technical editor and content contributor on several text books and technical papers. He enjoys boating, gardening, playing with his telescope, and building RC airplanes in his spare time. He and his wife, Joanie, have two children.
