Description
Apologia’s Live Class: American Civics is a rigorous, discussion-based course that examines the foundations of American government through classical political thought, Biblical theology, and constitutional analysis. Students explore key civic structures and principles, including the nature of authority, the difference between a democracy and a republic, the role of law and justice, and the responsibilities of Christian citizenship.
Rather than memorizing facts, students analyze ideas, compare worldviews, and wrestle thoughtfully with historical and contemporary issues in a respectful, academically grounded environment. This course equips students to understand how faith, history, and civic responsibility intersect, preparing them to engage public life wisely, faithfully, and with discernment.
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. -1 Timothy 2:1-2
