Description
Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 5 Skills Practice is an optional companion resource designed to give students additional practice with the concepts taught in the Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 5 Student Text and Workbook. Ideal for students who benefit from extra repetition, this resource helps reinforce understanding, build confidence, and strengthen math skills through targeted practice problems that align directly with the course.
Mathematics Level 5 Skills Practice Curriculum Overview
Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 5 continues the mastery-based approach of the Exploring Creation with Mathematics series while incorporating built-in spiral review. The Skills Practice book provides additional problems that correspond to the concepts taught throughout Level 5, including multidigit multiplication, the order of operations, vertical division, multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals to the thousandth place, finding area and volume, percentages, and graphing.
All answers are included within the Skills Practice book, allowing students to check their work and parents to easily monitor progress.
In the main course, you’ll find the following:
- Easy, open-and-go lessons designed for independent or guided learning
- Hands-on activities, games, and projects that help students connect abstract math concepts to real-world applications
- Built-in skills practice with simple, easy-to-set-up review games
- Colorful layouts and engaging page design to keep students motivated
- Flexible options and suggestions for customizing lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Devotionals that connect math concepts to God and His creation
- Supply lists, complete answer keys, teaching tips, and suggestions for extending activities
Lesson Plans and Materials
The main course is designed to be completed four days a week over 28 weeks, with each lesson taking approximately 30–45 minutes. A suggested daily schedule is included in the core course materials to help students understand what is expected each day. Because the Skills Practice book is optional, the amount completed is flexible and should be adjusted based on each student’s individual needs, learning pace, and level of mastery.
